Volunteer at the Priory Retreat House

   
As all nonprofits struggle with keeping their doors open and their programs running, we are especially grateful to all of our volunteers who come from near and far to help us.We would love to have you join us with whatever amount of time you might be able to give. Garage Sale Prep:   April to June • Accepting, sorting, pricing and boxing doations both at the Priory and at the Drop-Off Center in Chesterown; • Creating and distributing flyers for area businesses and site; • Shopping for the food concession; • Preparing the grounds for the garage sale; • Transporting donated items from storage units and the Drop-Off Center to the Priory
Garage Sale Event:   July 17th and 18th • Help with setting up garage sale items • Assist with the garage sale and food concession
Summer Projects:  one or two days per week for 2 to 5 hours per day • Help with and/or coordinate Priory projects of Youth Works, teen boys & girls who come from all the country to volunteer in our Adirondack towns and hamlets
Ongoing Volunteer Needs: a few hours per month • Grocery shopping and food prep for Priory programs and visitors • Data input on the computer • Creating flyers, writing press releases (MS Word, Excel, Publisher etc) • Assisting with website maintenance and updates
Special Needs: • Labor to install a bathroom vanity (we have materials) • Labor to repair the kitchen ceiling (water damage and cracks) • Repainting (we have materials)
